I like this one — it’s a brand spanking new Lotus Elise that can swim and dive! It’s developed by the geniuses over at Rinspeed, and it has a huge James Bond factor.

Frank Rinderknecht, the owner and CEO of Rinspeed said of the extraordinary vehicle: “For three decades I have tried to imagine how it might be possible to build a car that can fly under water. Now we have made this dream come true.”

I can’t believe this, but this Rinspeed Squba (that’s the name of the thing) looks great. The fact that this is a convertible makes it even more special — but; it also means you WILL get wet! Got abig load of photos, all thanks to rinspeed.com!

I mean this car was just sitting by the sidewalk in Wellington. ALL BY ITSELF. Man I would have had a hard time not jumping in and trying the seats… This $100,000 Lotus super lightweight is a true stunner, with an amazing STANDARD paintjob. Awesome stuff.

A Lotus Concept Car for 2008

I mean — I realise building sports cars is about innovation, trying new things, and being different. Heck, Lotus has always been one to be different, a perfect example being the beautiful (and ugly to some) Lotus Elise — but this concept car will hopefully remain concept…

I like the rims, I like the frontal view — I dislike all the other things about this “car”.

Come on guys — FOCUS! Get that new Esprit finished!

The orange is nice too — forgot that!
